Writing is the medium that we exist it. It is not just the writing of notes and the writing of the final paper, it is everything in-between. Writing does NOT start with a blank page, it starts with notes. Notes plural, it is a collection of notes that act as the base of our success. Your future success of the final piece is decided before you even start writing, it’s dependent on your notes.
Writing is NOT a linear process
The process may not be linear, but the final article is. This means that the way we connect our writing is integral to creating an interesting linear text. For our writing flow we can create an obsidian canvas, toss all the related notes on there, or even search up a related tag and open a bunch of tabs. But, it is our job as writers to connect these disparate ideas. Internally we may know how they connect, but a good piece of writing connects these ideas in an interesting way.
